It is a very thorough survey of the Irish-American Mob, but Patrick Ryan is not mentioned, as I am sure many others are not, even though the number of figures profiled is very impressive. The book has a very extensive bibliography, so perhaps in one or more of the books listed you could track down some information.(less)
