The Maude Reed Tale, however, is viewed through a mor…moreI've just finished the first Suffolk book, and I can say that this Maude Reed story is in there. The Maude Reed Tale, however, is viewed through a more YA lens and wraps the whole story up at the end, whereas the Town House book takes a more mature tone and is a continuous story of life through the generations. Maude Reed feels like as if a fiery girl has come to life, while the Town House feels like a small adult's coming of age. The Maude Reed may just be a more idealistic version of the "real" one, but each is priceless in its way. (less)
