Anyone who thinks Eisenman is a great scholar or a DSS expert needs to first read the critique of Eisenman by James P. Holding at http://www.tektonics.org/books/eisenbrojrvw.php Eisenman's case is founded on false premises. Despite his credentials he's in no position to comment upon the dates or the contents of the DSS, and most scholars refute and ignore his fallacious 'arguments'. Have you read the article yet?

One can certainly disagree with Eisenman, but a great thing about his James The Brother of Jesus is that it's incredibly well researched and specifically cites and quotes the relevant sources so that the reader can make his or her own decisions on the topic. Also, James the Brother of Jesus is probably THE definitive tome on James up to this point, even today.(less)
