An old review on here mentions that the first edition's introduction section is in hard to understand Irish dialect and they subsequently changed that. Yet, I've seen no other mention of it. This is one of my fave novels, and I have a copy of the first edition (or so I thought--Blue dust jacket with the boys silhouetted) but see no major difference--can anyone offer more insight?

Why has no one corrected Goodreads when they state that this was O'Neill's first novel? It is not. It is his third. Why are such idiotic statements allowed to stand?

Has this book been translated to portuguese?
