I LOVE Susanna Kearsley's books and have read them all! Anyone have any recommendations for books that are similiar? I occasionally stumble upon one but she really seems to have a unique, special style. (Also, I've already read all the Outlander books, so don't recommend those please!) Thanks!

I just started this novel after loving two others Kearsely wrote. I'm disappointed though after readings 100 pages. I find it too descriptive in number of scenes that don't seem to push plot ahead, but I nstead drag it down. I really respect her writing though. So, what would one suggest after finishing Slains 1 & 2?

Victoria I would recommend Mariana , The Rose Garden and a Desperate Fortune.

How are Celia and Rupert so close? From the opening pages their father-daughter-esque relationship is in play, and I assume it's because Rupert was friends with her mother, but it doesn't spell it out.
