Is this book suppose to be a sequel to some earlier book(s) or can it be read just as it is?

H…moreThe book follows Allegiance, and features some characters established in that book, as well as a couple of characters created in the Thrawn trilogy. Having read those books before this one, it's hard for me to say if it's truly standalone, but it's intended to be so. It wouldn't hurt to read Allegiance first, though, since it only covers events a few months previous to this one (plus, it's pretty good!).(less)
