Is this book series Catholic or just Christian?

Marie Van Ryn So I'm a Christian, and even the Christianity in the series isn't super huge. (so far) The main character doesn't really have a relationship with God…more So I'm a Christian, and even the Christianity in the series isn't super huge. (so far) The main character doesn't really have a relationship with God, but by the second book she's praying, so at least she's getting somewhere.
But there are frequent mentions of God and prayers and godly themes. I would say that it's pretty broad. It's not blatantly Christian OR Catholic, but I don't think that there's anything that goes against Catholicism.
Also, since it's in medieval Italy, the characters living there (aka all the characters except for the main character, her sister, and her mom) are technically Catholic.
My friend is Catholic and read it and said she approved too:)(less)
