I want to read this book, as I am interested in spicy things. Does this book touch upon anything having to do with spices such as ginger, white pepper, curry powder, or red pepper flakes? There's more than one meaning of spicy, I know. I seriously was going to write spicy vignettes about a girl who cooked with spices, and had spicy dates also. But I definitely don't want to copy anything already out on the market.

I hate that I am only now noticing your inquiry. Red pepper is mentioned with the red beans and rice but I didn't notice the other spices.
