I've read The Frost in the high school. I just took it from the library, didn't know what I was getting into. I was changed forever. The profound effect that I've realized only later. Now in my mid thirties after reading The Looser I know why I was avoiding the old master Bernhard. He's painfully truthful. ~He's the way, and the truth and the life.~ What should be my next book by Thomas Bernhard?
