However, Mink River is through many different lenses and doesn't label one person as the centre of the story, rather the town itself is the story. (In Olive Kitteridge it's centring around her). With that in mind, it is similar in the idea that it's a collection of people over time sharing lives together and doesn't have a traditional arc with a pointed climax and resolution as some more traditional books may have.
