For in…moreIf you were to, here's what I think you'd gain: A fairly extensive worked example of implementing the ideas in programs that are fairly useful. For instance, you'll implement a game of hangman, fairly efficient implementations of sorting algorithms, and some other more elaborate instances of IO. I don't think you'll learn any big new concepts. But if you want to cut your teeth on making a fairly meaningful program run, this will do that for you.

... Personally I wouldn't think it's worth the time-investment, but if you're a fast reader and applications are what you're craving, maybe it is.(less)
