the main thing that bothers me about these series (seven suns, shadows) is the constant recapping during the story. more than half of the words are going over older stuff..not even to add new twists. sometimes you get the same prose as before. i have counted reading the same stuff as much as 6 times. some of us do have memories. if you must recap do it before the story starts. self plagerization, ugh! good read?

My son wants to read these books. He is 12, but reads at a high school level, so finding young adult and adult books that don't contain inappropriate content is a challenge. Can anyone tell me if these books contain sex, graphic violence, or severe language? The standard I generally use is if it's no worse than what he might see or hear in a Marvel superhero film, it's fine.
