I'm trying to figure out the time period for this book. I had thought that it was in the very early 50's after World War II, but now I believe it's in the 20's, after WWI. I've been searching the book for references to items that didn't exist in the earlier era, but everything I've thought of (phones, Rolls-Royces, telegrams, Brownie cameras) would have been available then. Any thoughts, fellow Greengage fans?
