This is my first R. Lehmann novel, and I really enjoyed the first part with the Fife-cousins, but rather disliked the Cambridge-part. What are her other books like? Which one should I read next?

A Note in Music is a beautiful book about boredome, marriage and routine. I really encourage you to read it!(less)
