Washington DC takes place in the 1930s,…moreI think it helps to read the books in the order in which they were written: Washington DC, Burr and then 1876. Washington DC takes place in the 1930s, 40s and 50s and it's the easiest of all three to read. Events that happen in 1876 answer a lot of the questions from Washington, DC. And you simply won't know the 1876 character unless you read Burr first. (less)
