Even though this book was written in 1996, it is relevant today. I am once again reminded of the importance of grass roots organizations and people who are willing to walk their talk. People who work hard to make real changes to improve the lives of children in our country. Skeptics may dismiss this book if they dislike the author. If you've read it, what did you learn? Did it change your opinion of the author?

I'm considering reading this with my 8yo. Has anyone read this aloud with their children?

Robyn Bray It might just be a perfect way share values and discuss issues that might not come up otherwise, allowing you to prepare your child ahead off time.
