As an author - when I contemplate the "confession of Saint Patrick," I wonder, what was he confessing. Maybe, "confession" is used like "confessing the faith" / stating his strong belief. BUT if confession is used in our contemporary sense of admitting fault, what was Patrick's sin or shame?
