Nevada Barr's main character is adult (35+ as the series goes on). She has a conscience about what she does and how sexuality can affect various investigations. The reader is aware she is heterosexual without any graphic details. Anna Pigeon, the heroine, does occasionally end up naked because of difficult (and dirty -- from soil, not morally) escapades, but her nudity isn't described in any detail. (less)
