I got this book because I'm a huge fan of LeGuin's The Dispossessed, and I read that this is a response to it. But I couldn't get into this book: I found the long intro with the street performance truly boring. Does it get better? Is it worth it? Thanks.

But the one novel is not particularly a response to the other.

That said, I highly enjoyed both books, but for different reasons.(less)
