If you ever have a gigantic dog as a pet, make sure you house-train him and, for Gods sake, remember to close the gate when the mailman's truck passes by.

Besides that, it's just a fun light-hearted book without much moral grandstanding in it, so I wouldn't say there is any prominent skill or lesson.(less)
