I am interested in reading this but I really, REALLY don't want to go through another Richard Laymon-esque rape fantasy. I can do with violence, but not a man writing rape. Is there rape here? I'll take this right off my to read list if it does.

how is endurance connected to afraid? in germany they were released as stand-alone novels. read them years ago, not knowing, they were part 1 & 3 of a series. cant remember any similarities!
