Selene sees her father commit suicide, and that's really upsetting. I'd really say it's up to you, as you will need to explain some stuff, like if they don't know what a "pleasure slave" is, or any of the names people are called. I would ask the parents if they have given their child the rape talk or talked about stuff like this. I am 12, and I was fine with it, but it's really up to you.(less)
