There is a lot of blood in some scenes, and very detailed body carnage. The main focus is on action and fighting for what's right, overcoming obstacles, and what it means to be human. The story can be very philosophical and empowering. Personally, I would let a group of mature 12-13+ kids read it, but some parents can be a bit more prudish. (less)
