It explains what each person has gone through and how it is viewed by people around. Sex is just one part of it, the readers of this book needs a broader mind to understand the context. It also throws a light at what we believed and how it would have been in a read world. Accepting this book has been hard for people because of the strong mind set we have on Mahabharata stories, but its all changing. In future (Say in 100 years), when people are ready to face the reality, this book would shine more than ever.(less)

He probably took them from the Samskrta play Veni Samhara.

I have not read the corresponding sections in the original Samskrta Mahabharata - so can't say for sure if it is there in Vyasa as well. (less)
