The heroine's discovery of the truth comes amid a sex scene. The hero has brought the carpet rolled corpse back into his bedroom and laid him on the bed. When the heroine enters he starts to kiss her in order to distract her. He gets carried away and picks her up and lays her on the bed. On top of the rolled up corpse! This is the kind of thing in this book that elevates the sex scenes from the banal.(less)
