Is this an updated 'Affective Neuroscience' or are they significantly different? Was planning on reading Affective- but it is from 2004 so was thinking there could have been decent advancements in understanding since then? Also is there a better book to read before this as a layman? With no neuroscience background?

It is a beautifully written book that makes clear a lot of very complex scientific learning. It's like having a master teacher standing next to you explaining things.(less)
