I interpreted the entire end of the book to mean that Mae was still infected and would likely…moreI can’t believe I can’t find an answer to this question! I interpreted the entire end of the book to mean that Mae was still infected and would likely infect everyone again. I mean, she rushed Jack away from the facility, wasn’t inside when the sprinklers went off (said she was outside looking for more thermite), and left to “look at a green light” then came back smiling? I’m surprised no one has mentioned this but that seems to me like she is still infected from when Julia kissed her(less)
