Whatever happened, and if you think of the controversy about returning ancestral bodies to the lands from which they were taken by colonial powers, the basis of the tale is that the Children of Isis cult, felt that the tomb had been defiled. As a reader it is not required of us to make a judgment whether by our cultural standards of behaviour defilment has taken place by a description of that action. This story is about how vengence is sought, and how a price needs to be paid.(less)
