2) Was April lucky to be in a white foster family?
3) April chooses to identify as white and fully incorporates white supremacist views toward native peoples. Her younger sister, whom she loves dearly, is visibly Indigenous and this creates cognitive dissonance for April. How can she love and hold dear and near her sister while pursuing a white lifestyle and presenting herself as white? How can all the stereotypes about Natives be true when she and her sister were intelligent, hard-working, clean people?
