I have looked at the reviews for the first few books and was completely surprised to see that no one likes this series. If it's not a good series then why are there so many of them? I admit I'm having a hard time following and staying interested. I'm a Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead and J D Robb's In Death series so I do like series and great stories. Should I continue giving this series the effort?

And quite dismissive of, or strawman those with more traditional/conventional/conservative lifestyles or beliefs. If you like stories about these alternative points of view. you would like the series and should continue. Otherwise, it is just a series where the author gets to espouse her viewpoints through the characters, and live vicariously through their stories.(less)
