It is one's guess whether the majority likes it or not but the story has been catching. One remembers the related God at every step. It is good none of the Gods has been downgraded in the name of fiction.

Stories of Gods are also imagination as they are without any scientific basis. In this way there are no facts but all fiction.(less)

I apologize I was being sarcastic, no offence, but i was meaning the other answers, which misguided me. But i am 16 so that's ok.

No. If she jus 10 and reading PJO, i wouldn't recommend this one, probably when she is 14.
I know I am a sheltered kid, ( quite sheltered that when i was 13, i read Hunger Games, which was my first YA book, got freaked out at the cave part and skipped the whole chap), but after i read this book I am sure a 10 yr old wont understand some parts and better left like that.

Why?
The pov could have saved a woman from being raped when he was young, but he couldn't as he was scared. He has dreams about him trying to save.
Though i am not well versed in hindu mythology, so I am not if something like this really happens. I am also not sure 10 yr old would feel comfortable reading this.

Then there are some terrible jokes, like -
Surya vanshis are descendent of the sun, so the reply was-
"So you mean the sun came down and some queen....."
and some more.

But at the end, it depends on your child's maturity on this and your feeling on this topic.
