They keep meeting and don't…moreI think the whole book is a romance, right from the start. In a way, fairly traditionally, they meet and don't hit it off. They keep meeting and don't trust each other, then eventually (inevitably?) they realize how much they mean to each other and how well suited they are for each other despite their differing natures.

Having said all that, (which seems kind of insulting as I re-read it) I really enjoy this book and have re-read it a number of times. I really enjoy Zoe's journey, love the world building and the whole idea of the random blessings in the temple.

Erin I did end up starting with Royal Airs, skipping this one completely and reading the other two in order. I did not feel like I missed out on anything …moreI did end up starting with Royal Airs, skipping this one completely and reading the other two in order. I did not feel like I missed out on anything and I actually finally just read this one last after reading the other three.

If you do read out of order, the second one will spoil most of the plot from the first one, though.(less)
