Is it just me, or does VC Andrews (and/her her ghost writer) have a pre-occupation with incest? Her Flowers in the Attic series is riddled with it as well as the 2nd of the Heaven series.

Did anyone else, based on the first half of this book, assume it was set in the 1920s or 1930s, only to be stunned when Heaven mentions going to see "The Sound Of Music" at a movie theater, meaning it was set in the 1960s all along? Because...my mind was blown.
