Since other people may have similar questions, here is a slightly more nuanced answer than what has been given:

1) A woman is raped. While it's not extremely explicit, there is about a one paragraph description, which young or sensitive readers should be aware of. There is a bed scene that cuts to black after they remove their clothing, but again, not explicit. A few mentions of female upper body nudity.

2) There are about 3 or 4 uses of the F word, and 2-3 uses of S***. A few other minor obscenities are sprinkled throughout, such as d***, h*** and a**/a**hole. The Lord's name is taken in vain every few pages, which is offensive to some.

Hope that helps!(less)

Eric Van Lustbaders books has gotten decent reviews but I found the writing tedious and boring at times. I've been meaning to try and re read the first one from him but never gotten around to it.(less)

I highly recommend Zander's books as they are fun to read and move along at a pace akin to a Ludlum story. (less)
