Similarly, book 2 was first released as "Fearless" but it has since been re-released as "Reckless 2: Living Shadows."
Book 3 was originally called "Heartless," but it's published title is "Reckless 3: The Golden Yarn."

There was no character development and it was like "boom heres a person, BOOM hers another one" without really an explanation as to who they were. I was about to put it down but told myself to keep reading and I will say it got a lot better and more "followable"(less)

It's pretty clean. There's sex, but it's pretty glossed over, like; you know it's there and happening, but no graphic details are mentioned.

I don't know how sensitive you are about violence, though. There are enough scenes of that, but it's not like you'll get tons of details about how someone's stomach falls out or something (like ASoIaF). Just enough to know it's happening, and that people get hurt during it (injuries are mentioned, inflicted wounds, that sort of stuff).

There is enough romance, although it's not the in-your-face type of it, so maybe you won't notice anything. There's one couple, one romancy-type of relationship (they're not dating, but you'll get the idea) and one person crushing on someone else, so stuff does happen.
