Every time I read the back cover, I think "I'd love to read that book" but whenever I pick it up, I struggle to get through more than a page or two. At what point did you change from feeling ambivalent to gripped? (If at all!) Spoilers don't bother me - please feel free to tell me anything that you think will make me want to keep reading this book!

It is getting better by and by, but it did …moreHello Lindsay, I also had a problem to start with this book and it seemed actually boring the first pages. It is getting better by and by, but it did not really cought me until chapter III (page 71 in this version) , when Latif is introduced as second narrator. Then it started to become really interesting, because things that seem to be illogical or at least rather mysterious will be explained and turn out to be different from what they seem to be. (less)
