This is because the truth about a certain historical event is eventually unearthed as the passage of the years brings to light information which helps Inspector Grant retroactively solve the case. I found this book on a train station, but have not yet read any of the previous titles from this series. Would you advice to start from the first one, or dive right into this one? I fear that, be reading this one I may get spoilers to the previous titles...

The American Writers Museum's post re. books entering US public domain in 2023 includes The Daughter of Time in a brief section on NON-American authors now p.d., but doesn't explain. 1951 > 1927, and another error or two was already caught and corrected in that post, so... can anyone give a definitive, authoritative answer either way? It's available on Gutenberg *Canada*, but I'll refrain if it's still illegal for me.
