I rather wish Miss Julia wasn't as old as she is at the beginning of the stories and surely that would place her in her late 80s after so many books ... however I can confirm that in Miss Julia Speaks Her Mind, paperback version, on pages 34 and 35 she says she was married for 44 years and met Wesley Lloyd Springer at the age of 23. So more than likely age 67 at the time the first book was published in 1999.(less)
