This …moreWell it's long because SO many things happen in this story and you can't end the book in just a random place, that would make a person go crazy. This book is the first in a series so it's bound to be one of the longest because it is introducing characters and things that might not make sense if it was mentioned in another book in the series. But I can guarantee you that this is an amazing and hilarious book. I enjoyed it so much and laughed a whole lot more.(less)

I love the Harry potter books and don't mind ya fantasy. My husband recently came home with the Septimus Heap series, but as an almost 40year old woman would I enjoy these books? They seem to be for a much younger audience than even Harry Potter.
