Why does the main character use the metric system to describe everything? It doesn’t seem to make any sense. Every room he walks into is described in meters, TV screens: meters, car speed: kilometers per hour. He has no military, scientific or medical training and the audience is American. When does anyone call out kph and not mph and why would anyone know what speed that was when he did.

Venu Gopal Story is set in Japan. Japan uses metric.
