Did anyone find the bit about Masterton making out with Jenny strange? She is shown to be in a relationship with Hilda. And then, out of the blue, the cop gives her a ride (obviously unaware of her orientation) and makes out with her in the car, on the way to question a witness? Does it indicate a blooper, or is she terribly manipulative?

Just watched the TV series and for those who've seen both, how similar are they and do you like one better than the other--and why? (This is entirely superfluous info, but I read book 3 not realizing it was part of a series. I didn't really like it and thus promptly decided not to bother with the rest of the series or even remember the main character's name. Saw this on Acorn and really enjoyed the show...)
