Do I have to read the whole series in order to understand the story? I got this book, the last book, as a gift but I don't want to start reading it and not understand what's going on because I needed to read the other books.

Jaclyn I recommend doing so- 1) it's a great series, and 2) while you probably would be able to understand the basic premise without reading the other books,…moreI recommend doing so- 1) it's a great series, and 2) while you probably would be able to understand the basic premise without reading the other books, you'd miss a lot of the history of the Mennyms that informs what happens in this book, and it would make for a pretty weird read (granted, the whole series is bizarre, but in a good way!)(less)
