I am a fan of “Inception” (where people use technology to enter another person’s dream and influence their minds), the Netflix series titled “What Happened to Monday?” (1 child only rule and limited resources) and “Mortal Engines” (cities built on engines and fight each other for fuel).

So as far as influences go… I try to mix psychological warfare, family genetics, and the fight over resources into my own worlds. I think these are all key elements in creating an interesting prediction for the future.
