In my opinion The valley of the horses and the mammoth hunters were the best books of the series. But they are all enjoyable. The author does back story for readers that read them out of order. Which helps but you have a better clarity if you read them in order.(less)

Can anyone explain why they had to cross the glacier? I get that the Northern route would have taken them through clan territory and was too much of a delay for Jondalar, but why couldn't they have gone around south? The map in my copy of the book doesn't indicate any issues with that area. Was it explained somewhere and I just read over it?

Hay un pequeño problema, la traducción. Un traductor, como bien sabrá Aníbal Leal, no puede tomarse demasiadas licencias a la hora de traducir, si un texto tiene una redacción pésima el traductor no puede tomarse la licencia de mejorar el texto. No sé en qué pensabas cuando traducías, dudo mucho que Jean M Auel escriba mal. Tu traducción muchas veces dan ganas de dejar de leer de lo poco que se entiende. (?)
