This has been recommended for me because I liked/ loved The Gormenghast trilogy. Would you consider it fantasy for adults or rather teens?

For instance, it uses the word 'gay' in the sense of 'happy, jolly', which to current generations may seem quite odd. (less)

Why isn't the author given credit on this goodreads page? Neil Gaiman is not the author of this book. Hope Mirrlees is. It's an excellent book. There is no reason to insult the author by withholding her proper credit. Neil Gaiman has written lots of good stuff of his own. He doesn't need goodreads to steal another author's credit on his behalf.

I am about to finish this book and absolutely love it. What other books would you recommend that are similar? I've already read most of Neil Gaiman and Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke (one of my favorite books). I'm especially into the mischievous/verging on sinister fairy world (man with the thistle-down hair, Duke Aubrey).
