I've been lucky enough to receive this book (number 7 in the Railway Detective series), together with Blood on The Line (number 8) and The Stationmaster's Farewell (number 9). Am I losing anything by not starting with number 1 and working through the series? Will I be able to enjoy these without knowing the plots of the previous books in the series?
