Sword fighting is described and there is some talk of vampires drinking blood and one death. I appreciated that the author did not discuss potential abuse/exploitation but just keeps the pirate fantasy light and fun.(less)

I don't understand why this series is not super popular. It is a great adventure tale full of high seas, interesting characters, fun plots, suspense and rogues. I stumbled upon these hidden treasures when perusing our library shelves. I am going to do a display on these and hopefully draw some much deserved attention to them. Good Job, Justin Somper! I love this series!! They should make a movie?!!!!
