Hi! I read this book when I was eight or nine along with ''A company of swans'' ''Magic flutes'' ''A song for summer'' and ''The secret countess''. My mum doesn't want me to read these again because she says they aren't age appropriate. I'm eleven now. Is she right?

Hannah I'd probably start with The Secret Countess, it's a Cinderella story and the least complex of them.

You could also try reading The Dragonfly Pool, and Journey to the River Sea, if you haven't already. These have simliar settings to her romances, but aimed at younger readers.
