Lionblaze only noticed that Spiderleg had a grey muzzle but Spideleg didn't actually move to the elders' den. Maybe Spiderleg's muzzle was turning grey from something other then old age, such as stress or fur fading and Lionblaze mistook it for him aging. Also, maybe the Erins forgot that he was Spiderleg's father since there are so many families trees to keep track of. I hope that cleared up any confusion and answered your question!
