I'm 50% done with Ship Breaker: I gotta know if the second half of this book gets better. The first half has been incredibly tedious, so much so, that I find myself looking for distractions so that I don't have to read it?

I was forced to read this novel for an English Assignment, and getting through the book seemed to be a task and a half. But in my opinion, the second half of the book gets better. The first part kind of acts as a world builder, setting up for the climax of the next part. There are a few suspenseful parts included in the second section, so stick in there. It will get better.(less)

I don't remember any foul language at all, there's only one kiss and a hug, but there's plenty of violence and drug use. There's one scene where some teenagers drink a little and one parent figure is heavily addicted to drugs. All that said, I'd encourage teens to read it and hope to teach it in my class someday. Ship breaker Doesn't have the best pacing For the most part I was forced to read this book for an assignment, however it doesn't have a good pacing towards the actual story. Some parts of the book aren't important to the actual story. However the pacing gets better in the later 50% of the book, But could the book have been shortened to make the first half more interesting?

Im Enjoying the book called "Ship Breakers" so far,But there are a few questions i have that i hope somebody can answer for me. 1.How did they all end up working on the ship at such a young age? 2.Do they have to work the ships there entire life or is there a way out? 3.What exactly happened to each of there parents? These are some of the many questions i have about the book so far.
